EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The Emergency Department, which has 14 beds, is equipped with trauma rooms and treatment rooms used exclusively
for cardiac, medical, pediatric, ophthalmic and orthopaedic emergencies.
At Lincoln Medical Center, board certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses
provide urgent and emergency care 24 hours a day. Staff members have many years of experience and also are
certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support.
Our Emergency Department is serving approximately 26,000 Lincoln County residents each year.
Of those patients, more than 2,300 were admitted to the hospital.
Trauma care provided at Lincoln Medical Center is supported by:
- MedCenter Air
- Carolinas Poison Center
- Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services
- Other resources for patient transport and treatment
- Board certified surgical staff including Trauma and Vascular Surgery
- 24-hour X-ray, Lab, and CT Scan availability
- Fully staffed Critical Care Unit

A major portion of Emergency Department patients were treated for injuries resulting from all types of accidents, high fever, abdominal pain, chest pain, migraine headaches, and other major and minor illnesses. |
