PAIN MANAGEMENT

Lincoln Medical Center and Southeast Pain Care (a subdivision of the Anesthesia Group we contract with - Southeast Anesthesiology) opened Lincoln County's only Pain Management Center July 9, 2001. Visits are made by physician referral and the patients will be returned to the primary care physician for continuity of care.

The anesthesiologists with Southeast Pain Care are board certified in pain management. Outpatient consultations will be held in the Medical Arts Building on the campus of Lincoln Medical Center with procedures being performed within our hospital.

The Center's innovative approaches to pain management and wide scope of pain services includes the treatment of pain associated with:

  • Back and neck injuries
  • Post-Trauma or accidents
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Reflex sympathetic dystrophy
  • Extremity pain
  • Failed back surgery
  • Cancer pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Arthritis
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • Shingles
  • Diabetes

Many conditions are easily treated with conservative therapies; however, they also have the expertise to offer the most advanced pain management techniques available, including:

  • Nerve blocks
  • Temporary & permanent epidural catheters
  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Advanced pain control medicines
  • Botox injections
  • Neurolytic (nerve destroying) procedures
  • Implantable spinal medication pumps
  • Spinal endoscopy
  • Acupuncture
  • Individualized rehab programs

The pain management physicians and staff understand the importance of providing personal attention and support to every patient. We hope that these programs will be beneficial in providing comprehensive care to our patient community, close to home.
